Photos from the past

Meinl am Graben and Kohlmarkt, 1st district, Vienna (November 2004)

It's been a while since the last Vienna photo tours and I haven't scanned the lately developed photos of it due to lack of enthusiasm. But some of them turned out to be really good and here's an example. It's again made with Canon's SLR 300V. Even though the lens is cheap, it's still far better than common same-priced digital cameras. Compare for yourself and see the difference.

So, where's the Tokyo link? The only one I might think of is: many Japanese people, tourists included, love to go shopping here (Cartier on the left and the luxury supermarket Julius Meinl on the right and other boutiques just to mention some good reasons) because stuff is so exclusive here. Louis Vuitton is also within 3 minutes reach by walking, located on the right side. (Louis Vuitton no mise ha aruite 3 bun gurai de migigawa desu yo)

This was a cold winter day and we planned our first and - maybe the last for a while - winter photo club session with tripods. We must have been crazy because it was freezing and for heaven's sake we didn't get the flu shortly afterwards. It's Vienna at its best (except for my butt).
